On June 2, 2021, Toyota announced the newest addition to the Toyota lineup: the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross. Here’s our run-through of the all-new 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross crossover SUV reveal. Keep reading to see what you can expect from it. more Powertrain Details The 2022 Corolla Cross will be powered by a 2.0L Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine that produces 169-horsepower. The engine is mated to a Direct Shift CVT, the same one found in the S trim Corolla models. The Corolla Cross will come standard with FWD, but Dynamic Torque Control AWD will be an available option for each trim. Model equipped with FWD are expected to get around 32-combined mpg and models with AWD are expected to get 30-combined mpg. Safety Features The 2022 Corolla Cross will feature the Toyota Safety Sense suite. That means all Corolla Cross models have a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert, and Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Toyota has also confirmed that Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert will be available on the 2022 Corolla Cross, though it’s unclear as yet which trims will come equipped with them.
